The Truth is: The Dose Makes the Difference.
We say it a lot: Truth Treatments are Pharmacist formulated. But what does that really mean, and how does it affect your skin?
Pharmacists formulate with a different mentality than cosmetic chemists. Cosmetic chemists take active ingredients and put them into a skin care base, like a lotion or cream. While the active ingredients might be great, they get stuck in this dumbed-down base of water, waxes, oils or emulsifiers that may feel nice but do absolutely nothing to create change or health in the skin. So, the active ingredients are never really penetrating your skin, especially at the levels they’d need to to be effective.
As a Pharmacist, I formulate topical products with two main goals in mind: effectiveness and penetration. That means the ingredients penetrate into the skin at a cellular level, and at levels that actually WORK to create change in the skin.
